Online 1-on-1 Support

The Online 1-on-1 format is a powerful and sensible program that is for anyone willing to take the necessary actions to help themselves. The Grief Recovery Institute® is the foremost authority on the topic of Grief. The Grief Recovery Method isn’t some theory; it’s proven effective for any type of loss one may experience.  Class is by ZOOM, an online HIPPA compliant platform, and consists of 7 one hour face-to-face sessions. Scheduling is flexible. Contact me in box below for more details!

In Person 1-on-1 Support

This program is for those who prefer to work face to face with a trained and certified Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist 1-on-1, rather than in a group setting. This 7-meeting format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs in a more private setting. Cost is approximately half the price of a licensed counselor and sessions last one hour.  This is an action-based program though, not ‘talk therapy’. Steps are taught that will help YOU  end the pain and isolation that accompany grief. Contact me in box below for details!

Grief Support Groups

Our support groups offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute. Classes are 8 weeks for 1-2 hours, must be able to attend every class, 1-2 hours of additional reading and writing homework assignments.

Helping Children with Loss
Most parents want to do whatever they can to protect their children from painful moments and events that may touch their lives. In trying to “protect” them however, we often do not realize that we are inadvertently passing on to them the same bits of “misinformation” on how to deal with grief that we learned as children.

This program is designed to help parentsteachers, school counselors and everyone else who has contact with children. These skills can be of enormous value no matter what loss a child has experienced, including, but not limited to the loss a parent, grandparent, sibling, a pet, a divorce in the family,  a move, and even current losses from COVID.

This program is taught in four 2 to 2-1/4 hour long sessions offered once a week. There are readings and assignments before the first session and in between sessions. These are not drop-in style groups, are structured and action-oriented.

A limited number of scholarships are available yearly. Contact me for more info.  Contact info: 423 667-0217 /

I look forward to walking this journey with you!
